Bought to keep it local — not sold to the highest bidder
Columbine Village Mall's building has stood on Main Street since 1896. When it came up for sale roughly two years ago, Charlie Mason — whose investment firm focuses on Colorado commercial retail and office space — stepped in.
"I keep up with community real estate. When I came upon it, I made an offer. The seller was pleased to sell it to someone local who lived here and cared about the town."
